The nanny of my nanny is still a nanny
And still above the law
Mentioned a bit back how the company that makes one of the drugs used in lethal injections stopped making it. So, states were unlawfully importing the drug. The DEA has seized Georgia’s supply of the drug. States’ rights, indeed.
More from Radley, who quips:
I do look forward to the feds’ attempt to seize the entire Georgia Department of Corrections under federal asset forfeiture law.

Markie Marxist sez: “Cool! My commie compadre Obama strikes again! We certainly don’t want our Marxist/warrior/hero/criminals getting executed. It has a very strong deterrent effect on them when they’re dead, and it also discourages other criminals from doing all they can to destroy capitalism and bring down America. Ha! Ha! All your lethal injection drugs are belong to us! No communism, no justice!”

Now how do you charge and entire state with drug smuggling? I love it.

FYI, hanging is cheaper, easier, and belive-it-or-not vastly more humane than that bizzare Rube Goldberg lethal injection machine they have.
I don’t understand why LI hasn’t simply been a titration of Morphine until resperatory failure is induced. Not only would it be painless, it actually might be kinda fun for the convict until he passes out….

Bullets are cheap.

Anyone notice that the GA Dept of Corrections turned ITSELF IN. They asked the DEA to drop by, to ensure that “…we were in compliance.”
States’ rights don’t mean nothin’ if you meekly submit like a whipped dog to the FEDGOV.

Bullets are cheap.
Ditto.

Rope is cheaper. It’s also reusable.

Hanging uses hemp, another DEA no-no.

Send in the SWAT teams! Machine-gun their dogs!

I was dealing with lethal injection in 1984. It was stupid. It’s not that I favor strangling or frying. It’s just that there’s no good way to kill people.

I suppose the DEA just wants us to do an Archie Bunker, and toss the condemned out of a window on a tall building?
OK, I can go with that. Give the condemned the option of having a noose as well.
