Doesn’t fit the narrative? Former head of the American Conservative Union? Drinks with Dick Cheney? Met his Wife at CPAC? Uhhh, I think he’s on the Right, m’kay?
Of course, I love the Idea that the NRA has anointed their President two weeks before I have to turn my NRA Director ballot in, so that the Executive Board can meet AFTER the Convention, without having to deal with a Floor Vote or a backlash from the new Directors, who will just Rubber Stamp the Central …errr Executive Committee’s Policy. The NRA’s Political Structure is just like the way the Communist Party was set up to run the Soviet Union. So glad that LaPierre and his Cronies get to keep on kissing their Political Buddies Butts in Washington. Thank God we have the SAF doing the Heavy Work.
SAF certainly isn’t doing any heavy lifting when it comes to protecting your gun rights in Congress or the state legislatures. Neither have a real presence there.
I’ll give them credit for getting their name on a case to the Supreme Court but the suggestion that they or their sister org does the heavy lifting doesn’t square with reality.
