WOW, shows how crazy the laws are in Newyork.
I wonder if the prosecuter was accually thinking about coming after the guy before someone said that would be political suicide.

Despite NJ having a (weak, but there) Castle Doctrine law, prosecutors occasionally file charges in a home defense shooting. So, no, unsurprised here on the right bank of the Hudson.

Also, note that the shooter’s status as school safety Officer had no bearing on this situation. And, for that matter, the cop was off-duty. They were hanging out at a auto-parts store when it was robbed.
