Excuse me if I’m off-base here, but I thought the idea of going to Boomershoot was to perfect or demonstrate your skill in sub-MOA shooting. That can comfortably be done on a waterproof shooting mat up on the berm, or very comfortably be done with a shooting table under a simple canopy on the East and West ends.
We’ve had folks setting up full enclosures, with guns mounted on heavy tripods, and now we have the “Boomeragio”, with a couch to slouch on, and a smoker wagon to sizzle fine BBQ meats on.
I expect that someday, someone will bring and erect a stick-built shooting house with forced-air heat and flush toilets.
Gawd! To think that I thought I was going all out with Petey the Pop-Up tent camper to get me by for 4 nights last year.
It’s really all about hitting the boomer-targets with your rifle or horse-pistol. Nothing else matters.
