Ahh the ATF; what can’t they fuck up?

  2. Shootin' Buddy Says:

Ummm, isn’t Texas already on fire? Did they think “oh, one more fire can’t hurt”?

  3. Cargosquid Says:

Don’t these people have bomb ranges? Why do I have the suspicion that this was an “impromptu” training exercise…. What would be the result if a “private citizen” had done this?

  4. Justin Buist Says:

At least they’re not burning people.

  5. Mr Evilwrench Says:

Burning people would probably fall to DHS, although since ICE is busting (the wrong) people for child pr0n instead of covering the border, there’s no telling what agency would do it. Maybe DOE, you know, (soylent) green energy.

  6. John Smith. Says:

They blamed it on a rabbit for restarting the fire. The only way a rabbit could start a fire is if the rabbit was on fire.

  7. craig Says:

These guys ought to be tarred and feathered for this. We haven’t had any real rain for months. 200+ counties in Texas are under burn bans (including this one, from the article), and the west has had 200K acres’s worth of wildfires already. There’s no way they could not have known this was a stupid idea.

  8. Ruzhyo Says:

I live a few counties over from Motley. The whole region is a tinderbox right now. A mentally handicapped child would have known that playing with fire was a bad idea. Since the mentally handicapped are generally relegated to executive positions in the ATF, I don’t know what these guys’ excuse was.

  9. Bryan S. Says:

Sure… blame a rabbit randomly running across the road to the sight of an explosion.

    Translation… “we f’ed up”.

  10. Boyd Says:

Forest? Have you ever been to the Texas Panhandle?

  11. Link P Says:

    ATF – Always Think Forestfires

  12. Huck Says:

“We’re federal agents! A fire would’nt DARE start or get out of control on us!”

  13. Pop N Fresh Says:

as someone who has lived in Lubbock county for a decade I assume there was no forest fire, that would require trees

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
