MI Library Update
Judge rules MI library no gun policy is legal. I guess no more carrying shotguns there.

Interesting. I found elsewhere that the crux of the judge’s thinking is she says the library is not a “local unit of government.”

“One of CADL’s attorneys, Gary Bender, said that CADL’s goal is to maintain a safe environment for children and adults who visit the library.”
Markie Marxist sez: “That’s correct! We especially want to maintain a safe environment for our adults who visit the library and are our Marxist/warrior/hero/criminal/mass murderers. We certainly don’t want our Loughners getting stopped before they run up a good body count! We need bigger numbers to advance our Marxist gun ban agenda. It’s just common communist sense to disarm our potential victims. It works for us! Ha! Ha!”

So does that mean that the library is not eligible for funds allotted to the local government??? Not too many libraries run on just private donations…. I also doubt that the library is a non profit organization…. By the way does anyone know if the librarians work for the local government or do they just volunteer their time???

Hopefully there will be an appeal.

What a bad decision. A library authority formed by 2 counties is not subject to the laws that the counties are subject to. How does this make any sense at all?

Answered quite a few questions PT. I guess that means the counties are not required to pay the librarians either seeing that local government money is to be paid to their employees…
