Match Game
Match the carry gun with a blogger:

And where you don’t.
A new national alert system is set to begin in New York City that will alert the public to emergencies via cell phones.
It’s called the Personal Localized Alert Network or PLAN. Presidential and local emergency messages as well as Amber Alerts would appear on cell phones equipped with special chips and software.
You pay for it and are forced to be bombarded with messages from your betters. But you can opt out of some things and most people will:
Consumers would be able to opt out of all but those presidential messages.
Megan McCain decides to team up with Rachel Maddow and lecture us absolutists on reasonable gun control. And says it’s OK because Dick Cheney (an expert on gun control having only shot one man in the face) thinks it’s a good idea. Much ignorance ensues. Look, I like that you and Rachel shoot and are into guns. But you could use a bit more education on the issue.
I kinda wish I’d ran into them.
From the racist roots of gun control files comes Stu Levitan:
I think it would be fun to have 2 or 3 dangerous-looking black guys testify next week in support of concealed carry. The more gang-banger the better. Let the committee know EXACTLY who they’ll be letting carry guns.
One, that’s racist. And two, it’s another attempt at equivocating law-abiding gun owners with criminals.
It’s tough being on the wrong side of history.
Despite their attempts to change the debate and equate all instances of gun crime with gun owners, they’re losing. Because handgun carry permit holders are more law-abiding.
On the push to allow law-abiding permit holders to carry on campus, Alex Hannaford lies:
When you think of it like that: giving guns to young students largely interested in sex and booze, I’d wager it seems less of a genius idea.
Except that none of the bills give any body guns. They remove prohibitions on carrying in certain places. If you have to lie and misrepresent the issue to make your point, you’re probably losing.
The Second Amendment Foundation today filed suit in U.S. District Court in Virginia challenging the constitutionality of federal and Virginia provisions barring handgun sales to non-residents.
SAF is joined in the lawsuit by Michelle Lane, a District of Columbia resident who cannot legally purchase handguns because there are no retail firearms dealers inside the District. The Supreme Court’s 2008 Heller ruling struck down the District’s handgun ban, confirming that individuals have a constitutional right to possess handguns.
Teenager arrested for filming the police, which they call interfering with an investigation.
Seem to include lead and brass: Consumers and Investors Seek Protection With Guns and Gold
Odd that it’s increasing since The Violence Policy Center keeps pushing their myth of declining gun ownership.
THE ELITE TACTICAL ADVANTAGE DEVASTATOR SHOTGUN. You know they’re serious, when it’s in all caps.
Bersa makes a 15 round 380. I did not know that.
Man spent four days in jail because police confused tortilla dough with cocaine.
I chat with Glenn Reynolds about open carrying, ninjas, blogs, gun rights, and crime.
He chatted with some other gun bloggers too, even though one of us turned him down.
Also kinda neat is that I’m wearing a tactical shirt by Woolrich. As they were mic’ing me up, they asked if I could undo a button for the wire. With the handy little magnets for buttons on the shirt, I got all Superman on them. They were amused.
Note to self: sit up next time.
To keep the world safe from terrorists, ATF says a license is required for the little guns that orchardists use to dispatch birds that may damage their flowers. First, firecrackers and now this.
Why does the federal government seem to enjoy tormenting people who like orchids?
Via gunmart, who has video.
I’m not sure what’s more fun to say orchardists or bird bangers?
That’s one of the reasons for a gun divide. But Aunt B. sums up part of the misunderstanding:
I don’t know. I don’t feel like some great second amendment absolutist and I don’t believe anything in the Constitution is off-limits for discussion, but it’s embarrassing to me, as a Democrat, when Democrats talk like there’s no good reason for a farmer to have a gun. It’s like saying there’s no reason for a police officer or a soldier to have a gun. A shotgun is part of the standard equipment of a farmer.
And Campfield is right, it is, generally, illegal to kill snakes in TN.
The SEAL team supposedly used the piston-driven AR-ish sort of gun with pins in the wrong places. So reports Military Times.
Update: I’m told that there are models where the pins are in the right place. Nice.
Sean:
The Left, the Media, and the gun-grabbers (but I repeat myself) want to pretend that there isn’t a dimes worth of difference between violent criminals and concealed carriers. They repeatedly tell stories about violent criminals in order to try to disarm you and me
There’s a word for that.
Liston wrote a letter to the editor poll taxes and guns. Seems the KNS thinks that the state should provide a free ID card to those who cannot afford them so they can vote. Will the state also provide a free background check on gun purchases and waive carry permit fees on those who cannot afford them?
Mentioned the demand up for Sig P226s after one was used to shoot Bin Laden. Well, Coal Creek Armory has them in stock and is getting calls about them.
ATF whistle-blower on fox business talking about ATF letting guns into Mexico.
Coalition to Stop Gun Violence thinks that your rights are subject to their approval. More on the hate for those who exercise their rights.
Looks like a push for concealed carry while the Republicans are in control. That would leave Illinois as the only state without a concealed carry provision. Illinois does have one but it requires you to get elected.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
