Yeah, they were specifically told not to include firearms. While I don’t agree with that, the city was the one paying for it so they get to make the call.
Whatever happened to “the customer is always right” jeez . . . what, because you’re an arteest you can blow off what you know a customer demands in the final product?
This is a culture war, because they have made it a culture war. Damn the city; damn them all to hell. I am on the side of the “arteest”, and that is where I stand.

This is a little weak, as it appears that the artist-for-hire clearly breached a contract.
It wouldn’t be the first time history was whitewashed either.
