I called a pest control company and got an HONEST response. He showed up, took a look at what needed to be done, and told me, “Well, you could pay me a couple of hundred to throw some rat poison under the house, or you can do it yourself. That’s all we’re going to do.”
I thanked him and sent him on his way.

You can still purchase them for agricultural purposes, but you need to put them in a bait station (which with livestock you should be doing anyway so as not to poison your herd). You don’t have to buy the bait station, you can build one yourself.
