8. Approximately 66% of the human body consists of water. Water exists within all our organs and it is transported throughout our body to assist physical functions.
9. The total amount of water in the body of an average adult is 37 litres.
As for the water thing; Between my son and I we’ve shot around 10 deer so far. The only organ that’s behaved like a water jug has been the heart, because essentially it is a water jug. 280 Remington @ 2500 fps impact velocity makes a tiny entry and a huge exit, but hasn’t exploded an organ like a water jug, except for the heart. Same with a 50 caliber ball @ between 1400 and 1800. The ball will make a fairly clean hole all the way through, unless it hits a full heart, in which case the heart explodes. Lungs, liver, muscle tissue– they don’t do that so much. I suppose a full bladder would, of course, but I hope never to test that one. One deer was shot from hip to shoulder (25” of penetration, through all the gut cavity, liver, diaphragm and a lung) with no explodyness. The liver did fracture quite a bit though, as it is a fragile organ. Most body tissue can stretch a lot more than a plastic jug, so you get a lot of trauma yet it holds together.

The results of the .338 made me exclaim, “Holy S##t!”
Wow.
I expected the .50 cal to blow it up.

@comatus. I know it’s not quite what you mean but consider:

11. Human bones are 25% water.
12. Human blood is 83% water.
And also consider United Nations Military Helmet.
Coincidence??

I did enjoy watching the barrel hop from the single/double shots of the smaller rifle rounds.
