The Ruger 22/45 is indeed a fine pistol, but all that advice to remove the “lawyerly” features like the mag-well mag catch and the magazine interlock is BAD advice.
Suppose you have a kaboom, or something goes wrong with the trigger group? You go to send the gun back to Unca Bill, and you get a stern letter back from Unca Bill Ruger that since you’ve modified the gun, the warranty is no longer in effect.
My suggestion is to buy a gun you are completely happy with, down to the last feature.
