Last night my wife and I were (uncharacteristically) watching the local news and they aired this story. At the end, my wife says, “I just have one question: Where do we contribute to her defense fund?”
Sounds like the TSA for most people… I went through the TSA lines in Nashville and the TSA agents who happened to be all women were flirting with me… I never get fondled or x-rayed.
I have noticed what helps get through the line is a good disposition, politeness, well dressed and have your ticket ready…
The reality is different for me though.. This is what I observe about other people going through the line.
Oh and props to the Nashville Metro cops the candy ass pussy boys….
We don’t prohibit public, passengers or press from photographing, videotaping, or filming at screening locations. You can take pictures at our checkpoints as long as you’re not interfering with the screening process or slowing things down. We also ask that you do not film or take pictures of our monitors.
“Quit flying” is not an available solution to those myriads of us with jobs that require business trips. Nor is quitting those jobs and allowing commerce to be effectively throttled and our careers to be altered by the thuggish behavior of our government officials.

Gotta wonder if the TSA background checks involve checking for a history of sexual deviance… Wouldn’t be surprised if they have an opt out feature.

They call that “lashing out”? She was documenting and commenting. “Lashing out” would have left one or more TSA goons bloody and beaten.

Huh, it looks like they arrested her after she started recording the pat down.
I’m sure that was just a coincidence.
(Though I suppose the news report could be omiting or jumbling events).

Yeah the big story here is that, contra the TSA’s official blog, videography is no longer allowed.

Simple solution to the TSA…Quit flying!
Two days, and the airlines would be nuts and begging the TSA to go away and us to return!

MikeR,
Then what solution do you propose? 2 days is all it would take. 2 days for freedom?
You don’t see it yet, but your job and commerce ARE already being altered. The question is whether you will do something about it?
Think they aren’t, look around you, see any empty seats? How many fewer flight options do you have now than you did a few years ago?
There is only one effective solution available, vote with your wallet.
