Used to hunt deer and elk with a Super Blackhawk; it was more of a challenge than sitting somewhere shooting at a distance.
I use a Thompson Encore .308 Win pistol, and also a .44Mag Super Redhawk. Both are good for the 75 yard shots that are common in E. TN, and being inherantly lazy, they are *much* easier to lug around than a rifle.
HEY! The ATF is going to call all those calibers, “pistol calibers..” oh wait.
Never mind.
