‘Some say’ there’s about to be a metric shitte-tonne of surplus MaDeuces available. If these don’t go out through the CMP, this nation hasn’t a hair on its lily-white ass.
Somewhere, someone is scheming-up an official policy for their destruction (or gifting to an enemy!) as I write. My street-wise old boss used to say, “This bear a lot of watching.”
I’m still waiting for evidence that the ATF encouraged the sale of the two magazines to the Norway killer in violation of export licensing laws.
And another thing, all these weapons exports were in direct violation of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, which are the direct responsibility of the President as they fall under foreign relations. There is a complex procedure but ultimately the President can approve and arms sale denied a license by the multi-agency committee. The last president to overrule the committee was Jimmy Carter to the Shah I think.
Why no outcry from the White House over this usurpation of presidential authority and violation of several international agreements?
Well dammit then Diomed, that settles everything, doesn’t it. They’re just not allowed!
They sell air rifles, did you know, and their commission was updated within your lifetime by a hard left congresswoman in just one session. So it’s unthinkable, isn’t it, that it could be changed again?

How about arming the United States own “Unorganized Militia”, as per Article 1, Section 8, Clause 16 of the U.S. Constitution?

GFL getting machineguns sold by the government. You seriously think that would ever happen?
