Okay, for ONCE, I think TSA got it right. As a CCW Holder (and if he had paid attention to the News over the last 10 years), he should have known one is not allowed to Carry Firearms into Airports unless they follow the Rules. He made no attempt to check it into luggage, so he should face the consequences.
Having said that, I wish we could Open Carry EVERYWHERE in the United States. Well, maybe Concealed Inside Prisons and Mental Hospitals, just so as to not Tempt the Residents. But EVERYWHERE else, including Libraries.

Its not right, he should be able to carry, but he’s lucky he got found in VA and not in IL.

Chances are the gun was sent to the ATF where it will promptly be sent to Mexico.
