Spot on. I keep telling people: I’m not scared of foreign invasion, or the economic collapse. I’m terrified of what’s going to happen when Americans miss their second welfare check.
The US federal government has two, utterly opposite policies. Feeding bears is strictly illegal, while feeding welfare recipients is mandatory. Why? We like the bears. The thought of those wonderful bears suffering the degradation of becoming dependent on handouts is abhorrent to us. Welfare recipients, not so much, or even at all.
