Its actually not cosmoline… its a VpCI impregnated poly that’s laminated with a foil barrier layer. The foil locks in the VpCI and keeps external elements out.
So I guess I have to find those geocached PVC tubes, dig ’em up, cut ’em open, replace the Ziplock baggies with these, then reseal the PVC and rebury them. There goes the weekend.
Now if we could just travel back in time and drop a few million of these on Russia shortly after WW2… that could save more than a few folks’ weekends… 😉
