Cut social issues from GOP agenda? You mean they should just abandon support of the 2nd Amendment? Odd position to take. Cuz when people say no Social Issues they mean no cultural issues. And the 2A stuff is one of the few cultural issues where the left isn’t resurgent and dominant.

Actually the social issues refer to the christian right agenda. I think he wants the government out of the bedroom, the doctor’s office and the gun safe.

You mean he wants the Stupid Party to stop being Stupid? Not going to happen. Besides, if they did this it would be a huge move toward a libertarian position, and the mess from exploding heads in Washington and the state capitals would be hell to clean up.

Not only that, but he advocates means testing for receiving social security. This means that I pay for it, but never get it, because I saved my money. How is this any different from welfare? What incentive is there for me to save?
