More ammo not as important as more shooters
On the mob attacks, Phil talks about shooting with your significant other. I’d say my wife’s ‘training’ consists of nothing other than any comments she’s heard me make.
Should rectify that.

Ten years ago, I’d have never thought CSPAN would cover a Campus Carry Forum. Now, look.

Lets knock some sense into Sportsmans guide. Those things are, really, a dumb idea.
Lots happening and little time to comment. But here’s some stuff I’m that made me stop:
S&P downgrades US credit. I expect a congressional investigation into S&P some time soon.
Heh: repeal the “Eisenhower tax cut”
Truth: A general correction of the imbalance between wealth production and wealth redistribution is now a matter of basic necessity, not ideological preference.

What we need are First AmendMINTS.
When it comes to making money, the government sucks at it. Unless it involves a printing press.
Men arrested in hit and run. Of a horse.
Sad that this invention is necessary.
It won’t help but it makes us feel better.
This IRS report paints a gloomy picture. The 8K or so people with income over $10M took in a total of $240B. Or, you know, 1/4 of the paper thin total “cuts*” from the recent debt deal. So, if we confiscated all of their income by taxing them at 100%, that could run the federal government for about 15 days.
* Despite the media talking heads assertion, a reduction in increase is not a cut.
Update: Seen on facebook:
If the US Government was a family, they would be making $58,000 a year, they spend $75,000 a year, & are $327,000 in credit card debt. They are currently proposing BIG spending cuts to reduce their spending to $72,000 a year. These are the actual proportions of the federal budget & debt, reduced to a level that we can understand

Racially charged mob attacking innocent fair-goers:
Witnesses’ accounts claim everything from dozens to hundreds of young black people beating white people as they left State Fair Thursday night.
Another case for my recent switch to a full sized 9mm. 18 in the gun and two 17 round magazines. That can be very persuasive, even to a mob.
Update: Mob defensive tactics. Go.
My plan, get me and the family the hell out as fast as I can. Keep gun close and tucked in so it’s harder to grab. Beyond that, tough spot to be outnumbered dozens to one.
No, no that one. The one that happened this week.
Feds didn’t just allow guns in. They allowed drugs out:
U.S. federal agents allegedly allowed the Sinaloa drug cartel to traffic several tons of cocaine into the United States in exchange for information about rival cartels, according to court documents filed in a U.S. federal court.
Why, it’s like they’re trying to encourage the drug war.
Meanwhile, they canceled Newell as attache to Mexico.
Destroying radical Islam with porn. Osama had a bunch at his place. Seems to me more that pop culture, not just porn, could do that. Don’t need bombs. Just airdrop Coca-Cola and some Seinfeld DVDs.
Over at Wired, saying the NRA is somehow a player in the Mexican drug war. That’s pretty dumb.
One of the openers was Rage Against The Machine, who I had never heard. After the show, I bought their CD. On the second stage, there was a band no one ever heard of. They put on a helluva show and drew a large crowd from the main stage. There was moshing, dancing, screaming, drinking and all manner of fun. I watched in amazement. One hell of a set. That band was Tool. Later, I saw Alice in Chains put on one of the worst live shows I’ve ever seen. The sound was terrible. But that was followed by Primus putting on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Layne Staley bummed a smoke from me.
That was 19 years ago at the Starwood Amphitheater.
Lollapalooza turns 20 this year. And MTV turns 30.
How did that happen?
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
