Did they lock it down again when the cops showed up? I mean, I’m sure they had guns, too, and you never know what kind of mischief those guns might get up to.
Thank heaven their magic gun wards were still working! Who knows what kind of chaos could have happen if he walked on school grass instead of normal grass! I’m sure he’d instantly have been possesed by demons of death and destruction, channeled straight through the pound or so of metal on his belt, then had no choice but to try and kill everything he saw!
Wiz… I do, this was a couple miles from home. Unfortunately wasn’t me, but I would like to know who the new open carrier in smyrna is. Like to buy him a beer. Since I’ve gotten them all trained on the law I wonder if they panicked or talked to him politely?
Kristopher: If he hadn’t had a permit he would have been arrested for carrying a firearm at all, regardless of how close he was to a school. It’s illegal to carry a firearm in TN. A permit is a defense to that charge.
That’s less than 2 miles from my house. I’ve actually OC’d on Poplar Wood while on the motorcycle. The school isn’t that old. The guy probably lived there before the school was even built.
@Pol: If you see the guy OCing through Smyrna on a black Kawasaki that’s me. 🙂
@ Kirk… sweet! I think I have seen you. I generally OC all the time, so if you see a tall guy OC’ing in a store (walmart, kohls, home depot, etc) come up and say hi! We should have an OC meet at the IHOP…

If he had not had a permit, the federal guns in schools ban could have been used as an excuse to arrest him for being with 1000 yards of a school.
Yep … the congress’tards re-passed it after the SCOTUS slapped the first one down.
