A glimmer

Man charged with two counts of attempt first degree murder with a firearm, two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm to a police officer, and four counts of Armed Violence because of a reckless police raid.

The jury acquits:

That battering ram was only a few feet away from Officer OT. Instead he and Officer M. both turned their back to the door and attempted to kick it in. On the other side of that door was Kenny Green who thought people were in his house that wanted to kill him and/or his family. And because he reasonably felt his life depended on it, Kenny fired his gun to stop this violent intrusion into his home.

The fact that the intruders were actually police officers is unfortunate. Had Kenny Green known they were police officers, none of this happens.

That was hilarious. I love how he pointed out the many lies of the police officers with their own words.. Those are some perjuring motherfuckers that is for sure.

  3. Bryan S. Says:

Its about time. I hope those cops go to jail for lying under oath and assault.

  4. Hartley Says:

Bryan, I hope you’re right – but this is Chicago, remember. A glimmer now – but it will get brighter when sleazy, corrupt lying cops start being held responsible for their actions.

The REALLY SAD part is that Kenny will, for his own safety, never be able to go back to Chicago or anywhere near it for a loooong time.

It really is time to stop this insane “war” on drugs. Seriously. How did we manage to go from a society that thought that drug use was self-destructive and should be discouraged to “people who use or sell drugs should be jailed or killed.”?

Every time I hear details about these sorts of things, I lose more and more respect for cops. Yes, I know most are good people and try their best. And *any* shooting situation is going to be chaotic. We know eye-witness accounts are complete crap. But why rely on them? Why aren’t the cops filming their SWAT raids from the perspective of each participant? Wouldn’t it solve these issues?

Or would it just reveal how half-assed these SWAT raids have become? More than any other issue, it’s been these ridiculous, deadly raids that have made me in favor of ending the war on drugs.

If this were up to the judge he’d be in death row.

Unlike the last poster I lost all respect for police years ago.

  8. Charles Mazza Says:

This can happen to anyone with the ridiculous war on drugs. Im glad to see justice finally was served on these corrupt cops. These raids happen in cities across the nation all the time, and cops get the address wrong way too many times. Police need to do more research and triple check, before they come rushing in someones house.

  9. mariner Says:

Justice was NOT served on the corrupt cops.

It wasn’t even served on the defendant — he was dragged into court and forced to defend himself against bogus charges.

These cops should be swinging from lampposts. If that happens, THEN I’ll say justice was served. I’m not holding my breath.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
