Gee, a better bill to alleviate that police commissioner’s concern about unfamiliar gun permits being confusing to cops would be to simply affirm / clarify the 2nd Amendment. No permits needed, no problems. I know I’m preaching to the choir, but simply carrying or possessing a gun shouldn’t ever be a crime–the misuse of it should be, or more properly, an assault or threat should be the crime instead and regardless of the weapon (if any!) used in the assault.

Though, if it’s not done this time around, I may have to pass it on to the next guy in this district.
(much as I like him so far, Barton is another incumbent…so any primary challengers will have a very good chance of getting my attention.)
