Para out of the rifle biz
ParaUSA is no longer selling their TTR rifles. This makes, to my knowledge, the third company to sell and then stop selling the folding stock AR-15 design that was started by (IIRC) Z weapons. I guess the design just won’t gain traction.

They will continue to support the ones that were sold (which shouldn’t be too hard because, other than the one I shot at Blackwater, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in the wild.)

You’d think they’d at least try to submit to the Army Carbine Competition before they left the market.

Well, considering that the Anointed One declared “Mission Accomplished” and is pulling out all the troops in the Middle East, plus he plans on Downsizing the U.S. Military to pre-WW2 levels, and add in the fact that those Vets who wants a Semi-Auto AR clone have pretty much bought theirs, I think the AR Market is saturated, and there’s only so much room back here for the “Modern Sporting Rifles.”

That’s a shame, because I always really liked that design, I just never had the scratch for one.

I’m not surprised. My Good Twin and I first saw it in the Para booth at the Phoenix NRA convention. Todd Jarrett himself showed us the gun…and had issues with the folding stock and handguards. Watching him fumbling with a Para’s copy of the gun he routinely used in matches did not inspire confidence in Para’s ability to mass produce the design.
