Robbery caught on video, with audio
Demonizing totems because a politico is raffling off a (gasp!) firearm. Anti-gunners seem to struggle with this whole one is free to buy and trade firearms and obviously want it stopped.
ATF sends open letter to firearms dealers telling them to be on the look out for terrorists buying guns. The actual funny part is they tell the dealers to alert ATF to any suspicious activity. You know, like those dealers did when folks were arming Mexican drug gangs and ATF told them to make the sale or else.
How many guns do you need? For most gun nuts, the answer is usually more.
Samsung Galaxy Note. At 5.3 inches, some folks think it’s too big for a phone. My DroidX is 5 inches so I don’t think another .3 would matter much.
Today, the speed limit on some roads will be raised to 85MPH, improving travel times and annoying hippies who lied for years telling us that 55MPH was good for the environment.
A government monopoly on a highly popular consumer good with a huge profit margin built into the price including taxes, and they still cannot make money.
There are none for government employees. Hence, it’s not necessary for them to abide by the law, the rules, or even decency.
Chris Cox at The Daily Caller:
The National Right-to-Carry Act would solve this problem by requiring the various states that allow concealed carry to recognize each other’s permits — much in the same way they recognize each other’s driver’s licenses.
Not been a fan of this because I think it could open up to the feds regulating carry but Cox assures:
There are some who agree with the spirit of H.R. 822 but are concerned that it would create a “federal gun licensing” system. This is simply not true. The bill explicitly protects the right of each state to issue its own permits and determine its own rules and regulations with regard to concealed carry — such as where carrying is prohibited and where it’s allowed.
Commemorating 9/11 by shooting guns and eating pork? Or as we call it at my house, Saturday.
It’s sad that this is actually an article at the Atlantic:
Americans Should Be Able to Sell Stuff Without a Permit
I’m a fan. This morning on the way in, I was maintaining that. The guy in the Nissan truck behind me was riding my tail despite me having no place to go. The car in front of me swerved and I, maintaining a safe distance, saw the board in the road and easily moved around it. The idiot following me too closely did not have time to react, over-steered and about nailed the guard rail. Maybe he learned something.
In FL, cops were giving tickets to people who flashed lights to warn others of revenue err speed traps, citing a bogus law. Now, there’s a class action lawsuit against them.
CEO says the US government wrote in a pleading that the company would be better off using foreign labor. Wow.
ATF gunwalking stuff:
Remember that claim that 90% of guns in Mexico are traced to the US parroted by the media, the administration and the anti-gunners (but I repeat myself)? Turns out, the .gov’s own internal documents don’t support that claim:
Claims by Mexican and U.S. officials that upwards of 90 percent of illegal recovered weapons can be traced back to the U.S. is based on an incomplete survey of confiscated weapons. In point of fact, without wider access to the weapons seized in Mexico, we really have no way of verifying these numbers.
And, thus, fast and furious was born.
The press blames the NRA. No shame.
Investigators gamed during investigation.
I think she forgot an “up“.
He said a department-owned gun malfunctioned and discharged while the deputies were working on it.
And it’s a twofer because one deputy shot himself and the other with it. Two firearms safety rules broken usually ends badly.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
