I couldn’t swing it this year with work deadlines. But others made it and here’s a round up of stuff:
Bloomberg reporter attended the event. Pushing a book? And he had trouble getting a handgun in NY. Of course you did, that’s why they have those rules. Regardless, there’s this:
The bigger story, again paraphrasing my discussions with Barrett, is that the anti-gun people biggest successes were the seeds of their failure.
That is actually pretty brilliant. And true.
I have nothing to say.
I don’t get The Outdoor Channel. But I was at my dad’s the other day and he does. We caught Michael Bane‘s show The Shooting Gallery with Ed Head on pocket pistols. I didn’t catch all of it but I noticed that all the filming of ed shooting the pocket pistol, he was using an outside the waistband holster. Just thought it odd.
The NYT actually looks at Palin’s ideas: So here is something I never thought I would write: a column about Sarah Palin’s ideas.
Among them:
She made three interlocking points. First, that the United States is now governed by a “permanent political class,” drawn from both parties, that is increasingly cut off from the concerns of regular people. Second, that these Republicans and Democrats have allied with big business to mutual advantage to create what she called “corporate crony capitalism.” Third, that the real political divide in the United States may no longer be between friends and foes of Big Government, but between friends and foes of vast, remote, unaccountable institutions (both public and private).
The latter, I’ve been yammering about for years. We’re run by bureaucrats.
I thought I had this but it turns out I had children. I kid.
I’ve actually explained this to my wife before but there are certain sounds that drive me insane, make me uncomfortable or really piss me off. A continuous rap on a hard surface and I have to leave the room. The sound of babies crying, who are not my own, I cannot listen to. Or whining dogs.
Chicago Democrat supports concealed carry of firearms. I had to read the headline twice.
That’s what I call hip marketing.
That is indeed a better way to model a shirt.
That “silencer” looks an awful lot like “the shoulder thing that goes up“.
Some stuff:
McCain temporarily unfucks himself and does something smart: McCain wants Senate hearing on Fast and Furious
Another ATF gun used in a crime. In the US. 50 more.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
