I trained an old retired police officer a couple of years ago for ccw. He told me about a suspect he had to go hands on with alone no back up, he said he finally got him in cuffs. Put him in the unit, and got in the drivers seat to call it in,, he said when his back hit the seat he felt a lot of pain, found the suspect had shot him 3 times, with a 32 auto. He said he was off work for a week healing up, Not sure you can get all that serious about 32 acp

Good article. No mention of the Seecamp though? It’s still the most popular .32 firearm.

Are Seecamps really common? I’ve seen one in use so far, compared to dozens of P32s. And I wonder if the cop would have been in more hurt had the 32s not gone through the car seat first. Then again, 32ACP _is_ marginal — just less so when fired from a longer barrel and in quantity.

That is called body armor duck.

Low power cartridges do have one huge advantage. They are recoil controllable excellent for follow up shots. A person that cannot handle a .45acp can generally handle a .32 acp rather easily.
