Burglars find man’s child porn stash and turn him in.
And thieves stole a bridge. Yes, a whole fucking bridge. Scrap is pretty valuable.

The stolen bridge seems to relate to the new law in Texas.

“We did not actually go out and arrest the suspects for the burglary. They were obviously the lesser of two evils,” McKenzie told Fox40.
Is it really “obviously the lesser of two evils”? They stole goods from another person. The other person looked at pictures. Not justifying the content of the pictures, but the two activities are basically stealing goods vs. looking at pictures.

Yes, it’s obviously the lesser of two evils. Two teenagers that lifted CDs from a barn vs. a grown man with a huge child porn collection? Not even in the same ballpark. Not even playing the same sport. Property crimes are serious, but sexual predators are infinitely worse. Give the kids a ceremonial smack across the back of the head for stealing and a pat on the back for doing the right thing when they realized what they had. Offsetting fouls, replay first down.

This guy will not be convicted if he has a halfway decent lawyer: “Your honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. My client has been engaged in frequent disputes with the juveniles who called in the ‘tip’ to police, because he would not allow them to skateboard in his driveway. So, in a move motivated by revenge, they accused him of being in possession of child porn, and turned in some porn to the police to prove it. Then, they even admitted to burglarizing my client’s house. The only thing we know for sure is that the self-admitted burglars had child porn, because they gave it to the police. Any porn that was found on my client’s computer was put there by the criminal teen/burglars.”
