We need affirmative action: that the average white person is 5 (FIVE!) times more likely to have a CHP than the average non-white person

    And the average urban black youth is 6 (six!) times more likely to die of criminal homicide than the average white person, generally at the hands of another urban black youth.

    I know how you just loves West Tennessee, but an interesting observation from a recent CCW class attendee…of the 15 peolpe in the class, 2 white males, 1 black male and the remainder, get ready….black females!!

    Disparate impact should be enough to demonstrate the need for a government program that encourages the necessary quota of citizens of color, by paying for the firearms, ammo, training and licensing. And then I can ask for the same, on the basis of equal rights.

    Mikee, you can call it trite, but the answer to your quip is that the gummint DOES provide this service, just as you want.

    It’s called the US Military. Enlist, you may not dig the training or the duty, but you WILL come out a better person for it.

    Hmm. I could say something about how certain attitudes have been promulgated over the decades by a certain Political Party to deny the African-American Voter the very concepts of Self-Reliance and Self-Defense by encouraging a Nanny State Mentality, but I won’t.

    In us black culture, generally the females are more or less in charge. This is a very good sign, it shows that we are winning the culture war. Making inroads in the black community is /huge/.

    @Rivrdog: Joining the army doesnt net you a handgun, ammo, and a carry permit.

    Even the training you get doesn’t transfer.

    So, what was your point?
