Joe makes a good but scary point.

I would dare guess that the scanners are not theater, but there for a very specific purpose and at an ever increasing speed being installed from coast to coast. It is now known that the units would not have picked up the testicle bomber, nor the shoe bomber. What would we spend that much money on a unit that does not effectively catch terrorists before they commit their crime? The one thing the scanners can pick out without issue is precious metals trying to make their way out of the country to safe havens from the government’s reach. Many commodity holders are very nervous as the government runs the economy into the ground that they will target them and take their wealth, their hedge against a rouge government that has mismanaged everything from the 9/11 attack, the wars that followed, and the economy which is hanging on the edge of the printing press. Ron Paul made the comment that he does not believe in fences on the border because sometimes fences can be used to keep people in, and I think he meant this very thing, it will get to a point where gold and silver confiscation begins and you will not be able to get your savings out of the country and away from the thieves that to date have followed the same political path that the government of Argentina did while robbing their people of any and all wealth.

Or the Gooberment is Buying Scanners to Payback their Cronies, like they financed “Green Energy” companies.

Invest in jewelry and other objects and you won’t have a problem with the scanners.
