I thought it was a cache only if you stored it underground in sealed PVC pipe. If you watch the video, they say there were 14 firearms, not nine, so I guess 15 is an arsenal now. “Deputies seize weapons, artillery at Jamestown home” Where’s the “artillery”? I expected to see at least a 75mm Howitzer. Or an empty round used as an umbrella holder.
I once got stopped by a county deputy as I was on my way to the Boomershoot dinner for speeding (35 in a 25 where the road looks like it was intended for 45). The officer took my drivers license and asked if I had any guns, explosives, nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons in the car. As that question did not have a simple “Yes” or “No” answer I hesitated a bit as I tried to formulate an answer. The deputy (who almost for certain knew who I was) just smiled and continued without waiting for an answer to give me a warning for the speeding.
Although there were no “explosives” in the vehicle there certainly were chemicals to make explosives. Guns and ammo were in abundance and visible from the outside. Had I been in California instead of Idaho I would probably still be in California.
Arsenal is plural for firearm (1 + 1 = arsenal). The singular term for firearm is “assault weapon”. Cache is a synonym to arsenal.
Hence you either have one assault weapon, or you have an arsenal or cache. The number of rounds of ammunition must also be highlighted– if you have 300 rounds on hand when they raid your “compound” then it is to be imagined that said raid has just saved the lives of 300 innocent women, children and minorities.
I have to give you props, Unc. You pegged my wierd-shyt0-meter today. Not with this post, the first one. Just after reading it, I got a call from my son, to tell me that his step-father was dead and Mom is in fits. It cannot be said, as to how strange my day became. The strollers, and you, get a spot on my facebook tomorrow.

That must mean that 10 would be an arsenal.

“Raingsan has prior felony convictions preventing him from legally possessing firearms.”
Good thing we have laws against that….

Hell, I’ve had more than that in my Jeep when going out for an afternoon of plinking.

Sure, why not. I mean, way back in the day when I had only two handguns and one squirrel rifle, I was told that I had a “terrifying arsenal”.
