Bumper Sticker Philosophy
A bit back, a guy in Philly was pulled over by police; had his guns and carry permit confiscated; and, generally, his civil rights violated. The police pulled him over because of his wookiee-suiter bumper stickers. It went to court and a jury sided with the cops.
Another case of bumper stickers causing someone grief. A recurring theme.

A) It’s Philly. B) It was a Federal Jury made up of people from Philly. C) I remember checking out how we could Open Carry in Pennsylvania anywhere BUT Philly prior to the Gunnie Prom. D) SAF needs to Push this one up the Ladder, especially since the ACLU thinks this guy got hosed. E) He could use the Argument that since they stopped him for Signs on his Car, why hasn’t the Philly Police Arrested all the Occupiers for THEIR Signs? Or does the Philly P.D. think they are the “Only Ones” who can determine who has Free Speech Rights?

Does the law require that the make and model be displayed on the rear of the car? I had assumed it was just advertising, but then somebody said it helps to report crime – a witness can more easily say “he was driving a Chevy Tacoma” if the truck is labeled; the police have an easier time searching the road for the Chevy Tacoma.
I don’t have any bumper stickers, and would probably peel off the make and model info if legal.

Yet another reason for all of us to use these bumper stickers. Make it seem normal.

I popped all the ID off a Thunderbird once, even the birds on the taillights. Thinking back, I’m not sure it even had the word anywhere on it, just birds. Nobody seemed to object. Painted it satin black. I used to walk into it in the dark, even though I knew approximately where I’d parked it.

How sad is it that as non-violent folks we’re discussing how to not catch our cops’ attention so that we don’t get harassed, locked up, or worse? What the hell has this country become that we’re discussing strategies to avoid abuse by police?!?

POLICE STATE…. we wookie suiters and conspiracy nuts have been saying it for ages but no one believes it till it happens to them.

It wasn’t a jury of MY peers.

If the cops want to abuse the people, then I suggest the people abuse them right back.

In Houston there the police have a large memorial to themselves off of Allen Parkway, near downtown. They guard it 24hrs a day, and I suspect they do so because they know it deserves to be smashed.

+1 to Les
It’s Philly, one of the most gun unfriendy places in the world. Been that way since the 60’s.
For gods sake people from Philly move to New Jersey to have a better life!

No bumper stickers about politics, no Facebook or anything that makes you stick out. Fade into the woodwork.

Not from a gun point of view. I can still buy an AR-15 with all the naughty parts in Philly. I can still carry a concealed pistol in Philly. Culturally it’s anti-gun, but it’s still part of Pennsylvania, which means they are bound to state law, which is generally gun friendly.

Coyote Brown? Desert Tan? Woodlands Green?
Nah. GREY is the new “camo” du joure.
Traditional field-grade camo isn’t so important in the social environment as is Poli-Stealth technology. Unless that, is, you just choose to go the “hell with them” route, and proudly fly the Gadsen Flag, et al.
Those of you in “occupied territories” have my unwavering support, whether you are quietly excercising your rights inconginito, or are flying the Black Flag and sailing athwart the oppressor’s course.
Both are valuable and necessary tactics, in order to box in the antis from every workable angle.

Best bumper sticker ever:
GOD LOVES YOU!
everyone else thinks you’re an ***hole.
In traffic with my wife all I have to do is wave at some idiot and say “God Loves You”, with a smile on my face, and my wife will burst into laughter.
