Tam upgrades. I’m in the same boat. Most of my tacticool flashlights are the older models that eat batteries.

When you asked what you had missed, I was gonna tell you that Tam had flashed.

I have three flashlights that use a pair of CR123 batteries. Just a tip… Switch over to AW 18650 Protected 2900 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batterys and a Pila IBC Charger and you will save a ton of money (assuming you use your lights as much as I do).
The initial outlay is not cheap, but in the long run its worth the time and money.

I don’t seem to use them enough to suck-down the batteries regularly, I don’t go out at night much.

Take a look at some of the hand assembled pieces out there. I picked up a 850 lumen light, 2 18650 batteries, charger, aspheric lense and weapon mount with remote switch for $62 shipped in a group buy. It’s a FANTASTIC piece and by far the best flashlight I own.

If you’re looking… the c3-907 from MTE is pretty fantastic bargain at $25.00

He has plenty of other goodies, too. I use mine constantly and replace the battery about once a month.

This is my EDC:

Had it about a year. Bought a couple of the Li-Ion AA size cells to run it wide open, and it’s been really solid. get somewhere between a month and two months on a charge, and the spare cell will hold a charge for a really long time. only pushes about 100 lumens on Alkalines or NiMH rechargeables, but that’s about 50% better than the surefire G2 it replaced.
if you’ve got a light that uses a standard surefire P60 lamp assembly(that’s most of the 2×123 models), they’ve got a bunch of LED modules you can swap in as well; run about $30.

I’ve had really good luck with this vendor; no affiliation, YMMV.
