The story doesn’t mention more about how the gun accidentally shot the officer. By design, certainly. If we don’t specifically explain human error, we can continue to blame the inanimate objects.
I suppose I’ll live to eat these words, but I still believe that “accidental” discharge isn’t the correct term in most cases. “Negligent” discharge is probably more accurate.
Now I have to be REAL careful!
