Felons get gun rights restored
If they can’t be trusted with guns, then they should still be in jail. But the Paper of Making Up The Record continues its assault on guns noting that it’s just so darn easy for felons to get their gun rights, which is not true. Nothing real convincing in the article as the basic point seems to be this guy killed someone and it’s the NRA’s fault.

Last time I checked, it was a-ok to shoot someone in the process of commiting rape.
Perhaps they should have called the cops in order to properly dispose the body, but from the facts as the Time’s laid them out, its sort of tough to make a judgment on the appropriateness of his killing a presumed rapist (and even if they were willingly having sex, then its a heat of the moment type of offense and he’s not necessarily guilty of anything either).

Ive long been in favor of a long path back to full citizenship for convicted felons. Something like keep your nose clean for 15 years after then you can vote and own guns again. Maybe things could be phased in, like 10 years for gun rights and voting another 5 years later.
