China building mock ups of DC streets?

Doesn’t much look like L’Enfant’s grid design of DC to me. More like something from my kids Etch-A-Sketch.
They may be streets, but they don’t look at all like the streets in DC.
You know, US independence was aided along by the French. Maybe this time, independence from DC could be aided by the Chinese?
Depends. Did Obama transfer the Deed this weekend at the APEC Summit?
I think this is a humorous hoax, caused by google maps artifacting. Notice that the dimensions and offset of the “structure” are an exact match for the google map tiles. It doesn’t exist, move along.
Correction: same dimensions, offset and alignment as the underlying google map tiles.
Hmmmm, I’m not sure who to root for in that scenario.
To be fair, we have mockups of their streets too. I’ve seen them in NY and LA. I recommend the General Tso chicken.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
