Pappy Week
Today’s news of most lasting significance:
Once a year, the J.P. Van Winkle and Son company releases the precious allotment of their heavenly elixirs to retailers and restaurants, and liquor sales reps’ phones begin to go crazy with people clamoring to get their hands on a bottle.
It’s good stuff, if you can find it.

That is on my bucket list of Bourbons to try. My search right now is the Parker’s Heritage Reserve Cognac Finish. The North Carolina ABC system sells it but none of the local ABC stores have ordered it.
I envy folks that have non-state run stores!

Ordered a bottle yesterday from the Pennsylvania Collectivist Liquor Distribution Overlords…they only had the 12-year but it should make for a nice New Year’s sip!
