Bummer
Dewey Rods (I have one of their kits and it’s great) lost a contract with the Air Marshals. Despite policy dictating that they use folks that employ people in the US, they went with an importer.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Maybe he should have opened a Solar Panel Company and got a Half a Billion dollar loan from the Anointed One’s Energy Tzar.

I live in Hampton, and I’ve never even heard of this iTek company. My guess is this person is running it out of their home.

I’m sure this won’t make me popular around here… but why does anyone care? Furthermore, why is there a requirement to make the product in the United States? If something of EQUAL quality can be made abroad for less money… what is the problem? I use Dewey rods. They kick ass. But if it can be made cheaper, why should anyone lose sleep over the government buying it from an importer? That’s fewer tax dollars being spent. We need to take savings where we can get them.

Sigh.
Another Connecticut gun industry under fire.
If the state didn’t tax the daylights out of us, companies in CT wouldn’t have to look at cost-cutting measures like using importers.

“I’m sure this won’t make me popular around here…”
I agree, and will go the final step to what’s morally right: I’ll never buy anything from that company because George Dewey pursued money that was stolen from me and likely every person reading this site.
If George Dewey were an honest man he’d *refuse* to sell anything to any government organ and *especially* to “federal air marshals in the employ of the Transportation Security Administration.”

So, you wont buy from him because he chooses to try to sell to one of the largest buyers in America using what you consider “stolen” money – i.e. taxes? Try to find one company in America that wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to earn money, regardless of the source.
