I’ll believe more in his clemency choices when he gives clemency to a conservative…until then, this looks like nothing more than a political stunt, just like my Guv’ner/Doktor Kitzhaber just did with his commutation of a death sentence where the inmate waived further appeals, no less!
The Guv/Dr whined that Oregon only executes those who want to be executed, therefore the system is biased, and that’s true, the last two executed wanted to go also, but it’s also true that no liberal Governor would ever let a contested execution happen here, even though the vote for capital punishment was overwhelming in a referendum the last time around.
