I have an idea – #Occupy_Mexico. With the U.S. Army.
Mexico is so out of control that it’s directly endangering our own citizens. Maybe we should just invade and take over a 10 mile wide strip right along the length of the border, establish martial law long enough to put down the gangs like the rabid dogs they are, and then ease them back into self governance.
The Mexican government is no longer running northern Mexico, the gangs are running it. We should seriously consider taking over and fixing the problem.
Oh, and end the War on (Some) Drugs, to take away the motivation of the massive profits that got this garbage started in the first place.
This isn’t any more shocking than reports that the cartel crew that killed Brian Terry was actively hunting for Border Patrol agents to engage, probably after learning about the DOJ “suggestion” that agents be armed with less lethals.
I’m learning to never put a basement on how low my opinion of this Administration may go.
I’m along with Jake Something needs to be done in Mexico and With the officials in place in Mexico that are all bought off.It has defiantly gotten out of control down there.
Saying that something needs to be done in Mexico is similar to Mexico blaming their problems on us. This incident occurred in our country. A combination of our War on (some) Drugs, a population with an appetite for those drugs, and an insecure border are contributors. Only two of those can be successfully addressed by government – border security and the WoD.
This wasn’t 300 pounds of grass. The Zetas did this in front of law enforcement because they wanted a high-profile hit: “F^c* with us, and we’ll execute you in broad daylight in front of cops.”
How stupid do reporters and cops get? A 4-year-old could’ve made that analysis.

There is just so much fail there.
Clearly, the solution is amnesty, cracking down on sudafed purchasers, and limiting US citizens to 10 round magazines.
That’ll fix it.

So how many guns were traced back to Operation Fast and Furious?

As Weerd says, “Carry your damn gun “, especially here in the southwest where there is more and more drug cartel related violence.
