Been a theme here lately to show ARs at Wal-Mart. Well, here’s more Sigs at Wal-Mart. Via David who notes No question, “assault rifles” are now “firearms in common use”.

At our local Walmart in south Asheville (NC), they had the Sig 516 (no flash hider), a Sig 522LR, and either a Bushmaster or DPMS AR-15. If Asheville – the Hippie Capital of NC – can have AR’s in Walmart, then we definitely are winning.

I will note that “Assault Weapons” and normal magazines are illegal in Massachusetts.
I will also point out all guns need to be locked when not in use.
Both requirements are federally illegal.

Wally Worlds out here in flyover country have Federal 62 grain .223 on stripper clips in 420 round ammo cans for sale, too. No mags yet, but hide and watch, I say.
If they ever go back to selling handguns……

The SIGs that I’ve seen at WW seem sort of denatured; no flash hider or even threading, smooth front sight blocks, etc. Having said that, if I were in the market for another 20″ AR, these would certainly be worth considering.
