Bersa BP: Single Stack 9mm from Bersa
Specs, press info here.
I do wish S&W or Glock would come out with a single stack, compact 9mm.

Bravo, Bersa. I’m with you on that, Uncle: the flat, slim, single-stack has a place–a more closly-fitting place. (Can’t help but wish that it was a Glock Model whatever-number-is-next, or a S&W M&P-slender version.)

I think S+W will get on the Bus a lot sooner than Glock will. Remember, Gaston turned DOWN the chance to play for the Big Army Pistol Contract awhile back because he refused to modify his design to use an external safety. The Old Man is soooo stuck in his “My Way or the Highway” attitude….

Kahr makes ’em. And while their smaller pistols are a bit spendy, the TP series is reasonable.

Local Fun Store had two of these, last week.

I bought a pair of Sig P225s only because they were single stack 9MMs; I searched high and low for single stack 9MMs because I kept getting students with small hands (read:women) who had difficulty establishing a proper grip with my double-stack 9s (CZ75, P226, P35).
Instructors still need a quality, full-size, steel-frame single stack DA/SA 9 for students. Bueller? Anyone?

Meh, two-hundred-round break-in period.

Secret Squirrel, For what it’s worth, my PM45 has yet to jam.
Plus, nobody should trust a gun right out of the box, and without putting at least 50-100 rounds of their carry ammo through it.
Hardly seems unreasonable.

Well, S&W *used* to … I picked up a nice 3953 DAO for the missus some years ago. No safety (but does have a trigger/magazine disconnect) to get in the way. It has digested all manner of ammo, including hollowpoints , Golden Sabre, etc., and I’ve never had a FTF, FTE, misfire or light strike in many hundreds of rounds. Much nicer to carry IWB than the Sig 229.
