The principal who suspended the nine year old for sexual harassment for calling his teacher cute has been forced out. You’re exactly what’s wrong with public schools. Or were.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

So, sometimes the system actually does work correctly.

Sid,
Not really. Guess who gets to pay for the inevitable lawsuits?

“One mistake in 44 years, and I’m not given the benefit of the doubt. I really don’t believe I was treated fairly,” Bostic told the station.
Yeah, Jer–and all it takes is one straw to break a camel’s back.

Ooh, the kid said she was “fine” in a suggestive tone!! This changes everything!!! Well not really.

Jerry Bostic should have to “walk the gauntlet” on his way out while every Father who has a child enrolled in that school has a free kick into nads. What a tool …. good riddance nancy boy, you’ve ruined your last kid.

All too typical. Remember, that doofus was once a classroom teacher.

@hsoi-so is irony. Obviously lost on this fine principal fellow

He was just following orders. I’m a teacher and I have seen a fair amount of stupidity from admin, but usually it is because of overzealous Board of Education (BoE) members. Our school has a zero tolerance rule for fighting. A few years ago, child A hit child B, and child B curled up into a ball to defend himself. Both got the 3 day suspension. Nothing admin could do because that is what the BoE decided the rules were some time ago. Our current BoE, thankfully, has decided to allow our admins some leeway. In the above situation, child B would not have been suspended.
Don’t get me wrong, the principal in the story completely over-reacted, but who knows what happened behind the scenes. Did the teachers’ union get involved and demand action? Was the ute’ in question a repeat offender? Was the principal just flowing heavy?

You’re trying to make me feel sorry for him and I won’t. Administrator was caught by a “zero tolerance” policy by someone higher in power than he was. Boo freakin’ hoo. How many thousands of kids have been screwed over this way in the past few years?
The principal shouldn’t have been fired; that was a stupid over reaction for someone who otherwise was doing a good job. But I’d say the same thing about all those kids screwed over too. He should have been fired because those kids would have been fired (suspended or expelled).

Dude made a stupid. BoE probably made a stupid too.
However, I will say that those who think that no nine year old knows anything about sex or sexual innuendo is misguided.

“I wasn’t treated fairly”, waah freaking waah! How about how you treated the child? Payback is a bitch, and you are a PC prick.
