I wrote an article in the December 1996 issue of Shotgun sports on how to make these plus other Christmas shotshell decorations. I deprimed the shells, drilled out the primer pocket and used a tapered reamer to get a press fit. Another great decoration is to attach the shells to a wreath.
I actually paid good money for a set at Wal-Mart a handful of years ago (I’m lazy, *and* I don’t have a shotshell crimper). It looks like they mostly just crimped the shells over the lights. And, it alternates between Remington and Winchester hulls, so it’s green and red.
