The 99%

This is the saddest thing I’ve seen in a while. I’d take every computing device from them if I were their parents.

  2. yj Says:

who the fuck gets a car for Christmas?

  3. mike w. Says:

“who the fuck gets a car for Christmas?”

Raises hand. Happened a few years ago and I initially thought it was a joke. I sure as hell didn’t have the attitude that these shitheads do.

  4. sprale Says:

This really doesn’t have anything to do with the 99% protests, it’s just a bunch of whiners.

  5. Barron Barnett Says:

sprale, and that’s different from the 99% how!?

  6. Crotalus Says:

Some people lost their homes, other went hungry this Christmas season, and these fools are pissed because they didn’t get the latest electronic toy????

Someone ought to stick THEM in the soup lines!

  7. Nolan Says:

I don’t think that the people who said “am I the only one that didn’t get x for Christmas” are complaining. I think (hope?) it’s them either joking or making fun of the other whiners.

  8. Robert Says:

I’ve pretty much decided that my boy will not have a cell phone until he’s well into his teens.

who the fuck gets a car for Christmas?

I did. Well, actually it was the day after Thanksgiving, but when I was handed the keys I was told “Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Easter, Happy Birthday, etc.”

It happened mainly because the clutch was giving out on the car I had, and my parents didn’t want me to continue having to nurse a 17 year old car along until I could afford what would probably end up being a 10 year old replacement. It’s also a 2008, not a new car – and we managed to stumble across an incredible deal, so it’s newer and better than expected.

I got about what I expected out of my old car in trade. $400, which is about what the listed value was, and about what it would have cost to replace the clutch anyway. OTOH, it wasn’t needing regular repairs yet (beyond basic maintenance), so I probably could have gone another year or so after replacing the clutch, but I wasn’t about to turn down the offer. I hadn’t really trusted that car on long trips for a while.

  12. Jake Says:

Oh, BTW, I did NOT expect it, or feel entitled to it. I know I didn’t deserve it, and I’m damn lucky my parents felt they could afford to do it and wanted to do it. They also had the option to buy a new car for Mom and give me hers (which was considered, but she didn’t see anything she really liked and decided not to).

  13. TomcatTCH Says:

“Normal” is what you are used to folks.

The parents of these turds are as much to blame as the turds themselves.

  14. cspradlin Says:

    Entitled shits.

I was very happy with what I got for Christmas. I’m alive, that’s enough for me. I don’t demand or expect gifts. It saddens me greatly to even be NEAR the same generation as them. (19, soon to be 20, currently deployed to southern Afghanistan)

  15. adam Says:

+1 to what everyone else has said, but I do feel bad for the kid who got a map of Maryland when their brother got an iPhone. That can’t be real.. lol

  16. Disavowed With Honor Says:

I am happy to say that I will NEVER be able to successfully wrap my head around the logic (or lack of) that seems to be so common for these worthless sacks of human flesh. Really? I didn’t get an iphone or a car? How about getting off your lazy ass, turning off the Playstation, and getting an effing JOB!!! Earn your keep or outside you sleep! I’m gonna take a stab in the dark and guess this is Bush’s fault too. Those damn people out there working, making money, creating jobs, and becoming part of the 1% should be ashamed of themselves for having cars and ipads. How dare they become productive members of society and treat themselves a little for a job well done. The thought of earning your keep is almost dead.

  19. spud Says:

Our public and us in a few words. We are so stinking spoiled that it is sickening.
Sure, blame the politicians then take a good hard look inward folks…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
