The Constitution: not applicable
The NYT seems to think following the constitution is quaint. Obama just wipes his ass with it. But that’s what politicians do.

Not surprised at anything coming from the Times. “The Paper of Record” is about as pro-freedom as Pravda.

They don’t think following the constitution is quaint. I guarantee you that they’ll complain about it soon enough. They think originalism is quaint and vaguely ridiculous. Just like they think Christian originalists like Evangelicals are varying degrees of quaint and ridiculous.
They’re Moderns and Post-Moderns. They think the constitution should be interpreted in ways that are current and expedient, not using 200 year old precedents and not in ways that would legally hogtie people they like from doing things that really are unprecedented.

Time to impeach the bastard.

BO seems to be deliberately picking a fight. Some kinda campaign strategy maybe. Like he has to go around the congress “for the good of the people”.

TennGoodBoy is probably right. “We had to destroy the constitution to save the constitution.”

Obama has decided that the Rule of Law and the Constitution is hampering his “Fundamental Transformation” of the Republic. His Campaign is based on the slogan “WE CAN’T Wait!” And it is now Presidential Executive Policy. Expect a lot more “Executive Orders” and “Decrees” over the next few months.

I find it very difficult to admit this, but I agree with Obama that the Senate is not in session at the moment. How he’s doing this and what he’s saying, I disagree with, but if the Senate isn’t discussing and passing legislation, IMO, it’s in recess.

Garrett, by that logic, Obama is no longer carrying out the duties of the President and should be replaced by Biden.

Talk of impeachment is dreamland. Here’s why: The house won’t bring charges against THIS president because they have no balls. They worry about being PC and are afraid of being labeled racists. “OH NO! – we couldn’t possibly impeach the first black president”. They’d rather watch the country go down the shitter than do what needs to be done. The same goes for a senate trial; even if it goes R after November.

Note: the senate passed some legislation during the “break.” (A little thing called NDAA…)
