I love how everyone automatically goes into attack mode on that site and starts with the “wasting your time” bullshit. Who the fuck are you to tell someone what to do with their time? If dude wants to make his own system to lessen recoil, good for him. More constructive than a lot of bullshit other people do with their time. The gun community is really cool sometimes, and sometimes it’s a bunch of people with Asperger’s.
While a new way of weighting the rifle isn’t all that exciting, I found some of the comments amusing.
Everything old is new again at some point. The original intent behind the AR was to make a very light rifle. Now we’re adding weights to it. OK then. Let’s build an attachment for the 1911 that turns it into a revolver. What? You got something against revolvers? Then we can invent an attachment for the 1911 revolver that turns it into a flintlock. Wait; I think I’ve seen that one already. Track of the Wolf had one for sale- a flintlock 1911. OK it was pretty cool. Never mind.

Judging from the magazine and the muzzle, it’s a stainless bull-barreled AR-10 with with some sheet metal around it.

I’m not sure what it is, but I bet it’s in an anime or video game somewhere.

Is that a Shotgun Barrel underneath the Bull Barrel?

It’s a frame weight to tame recoil. He explains it at this link:

Obviously, it’s a portable rail gun.

Butt ugly looking piece of sheet metal.

To tame recoil? Might as well just weld it to an anchor.
