Beavertail backstrap for Gen4 Glocks

Dan Zimmerman with the skinny. These are sure to be popular, though I have to admit I’ve never had a problem with slide-bite.

Never experienced it myself, but I took a married couple to the shooting range for the first time and the husband got his hand sliced on a rented G21.

He did not seem to enjoy it.

  2. Bubblehead Les Says:

So I see a couple of things: It’s going to be an add on that’l cost extra, just so that Glock finally realized that some of us have Size 2XL hands; and I had to give TTAG a Blog Hit to find out.

Smith M+P looks better all the time.

  3. DirtCrashr Says:

Seemed to me like an answer in search of a problem? Like putting a beaver-taill on a Sig P220.

  4. Fred Says:

They also help a lot with controlling muzzle flip.

  5. ExurbanKevin Says:

They also help with Glock’s grip angle, for the rest of us who don’t shoot Glocks.

And I blogged about ’em too, if you don’t want to give TTAG the pageviews.

  6. Jim Brack Says:

I am big guy with big hands (can’t find a pair of gloves at lowes or home depot that I can put my hand in). I have two glocks (bought in 94 &96) and have never had a problem. YMMV.

  7. MAJ Mike Says:

Another excuse to hang junk on a functional design.

  8. Robert Says:

One reason I sold the G21. Tired of getting cuts on my hand.

  9. Jeff Says:

meanwhile, the subcompact single stack that customers have requested for years…

  10. Fred Says:

Jeff, it’s hanging out with S&W’s design of the same… two years of disappoint from them at SHOT.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
