Gun Porn: SHOT and other stuff
The tactical lever guns, they really make me laugh.
New from Tactical Solutions. At every NRA show, I make sure to hit their booth early. They always have cool new stuff.
Tactical over/under. I want one of those.

I’d be more impressed with the Skorpion if it came in 7.62 x 25. Still nice though. I am, however, quite interested in an AR pattern shotty. I can see soooo many posibilities for that.

Grumble. I assumed it was the Vz-61 in either 9×19 or 9×18 that Czechpoint was hinting about.
I would LOVE a Vz-61 in 9×18…just don’t ask me why, because I don’t understand the lust myself…

So a lightweight rifle with the punch of an AK round that holds 4 to 8 rounds with the punch of an AK is laughbable but a 2 shot scattergun with a sight suitable for 200 yard shots is desirable?

I just recently bought a Sa vz. 58 rifle (7.62×39) from CzechPoint, Inc. and they also offer for sale a Sa vz. 61 Scorpion “semi-automatic version of the legendary Scorpion submachine gun made famous during the cold war.” The picture in the advertising looks to be the same as this one. It is a blowback action, 7.65 Browning (.32 ACP). Barrel is 4.5 inches, empty wt. 2.43 lb, overall length 10.6 inches. It comes in a hard case with one 10 & two 20 round magazines, magazine pouch and holster. The price is not listed but is probably avalable on their website.
As to the rest of these, I’m an old man (the 1940 in my name is the year I was born) and I don’t much care for the looks of all these black “tactical” weapons. My Enfield, Garand, and M1 Carbine were tactical as hell in WW2 and Korea, and they all have honest wood furniture. Even the Sa vz. 58 has a wood impregnated plastic stock that looks like wood. I took basic with an M1 rifle, and was later assigned an M2 Carbine as my duty weapon. I also fired for qualification on the M1911 pistol, M12 shotgun, and Nike-Ajax and Nike-Hercules Surface to Air missles.
