No one wants to be their friend
The anti-gunners and the press (but I repeat myself) are a bit upset that Obama didn’t bring up gun control in the State of the Union. Well, it’s not politically advantageous to side with losers and those who are on the wrong side of history.

Actually, I thought that when Obama put Mark Kelly (Husband of now retired CongressCritter Giffords) next to Michelle at the SOTU, I would be seeing the “Brady’s: The Next Generation” coming to a Republic near you. But it looks like when they were Programming Obama’s Brain…, er, the Teleprompter, some staffer informed them of all the Record Gun Sales over the last few months. They probably added up the number of Pro-Gun Votes they could lose vs. the number of Anti-Gun Votes they have, and said, “it’s not worth it.”
But, if the Anointed One does keep his Free Ride after November, I do expect him to push for Gun Control in his next term; that is if they get the House back and keep the Senate.

I think even then he’s going to be pretty preoccupied with keeping the lid on Fast and the Furious and the rest of the more pressing problems; hell even on NPR’s Fresh Air, when they interviewed the guy who wrote the book on Glock’s history and success, the author noted that gun control advocates just couldn’t account for how record low crime rates and record gun sales could coexist within their arguments and they’d basically lost (for now). It’s no secret the Brady Bunch has less than zero cache, and they just don’t rate. We can gloat with cautious optimism.

(And before I even read that blog entry I was reminded of the stalker analogy, or Adam Sandler’s callathon show on SNL, the show going on until Shannon Doherty goes back out with him. They really are the guy who calls the girl 43 times at 2am while outside her window, and that they can’t just admit that they’re not taking the hint is part of the psychosis).

Gun control (disrming the people) has historically always been the primary aspect of slavery and tyranny, so they’ll keep workin’ on it.
