What I find interesting is that he is going to be fired for trying to acquire a presumably easy to purchase handgun. How many officers get no punishment for tasing, beating, threatening real people? Why such a harsh punishment in this case when others are glossed over?

I’m thinking Off. Fowler did something recently to get kicked out the club. This is just their way of saying “thanks”. Not saying he was “framed” but things like this rarely make it to Internal affairs, with out some inside help.

I’ll bet most seized guns in this jurisdiction end up in cops’ homes.
This one got caught because the source of the weapon wasn’t a criminal. He just assumed no one would question anything.

IN ANY LEO shop, everyone in the place would go to jail if an outside audit of the evidence room was taken. EVERYONE.
